Iowa Secretary of State pushes Safe at Home program amid Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate kicked off a three-day tour of promoting a six-year-old statewide domestic violence program in Cedar Rapids Monday.

Safe at Home is designed to keep the public information of domestic violence victims secret. Currently, more 1,000 Iowans are in the program.

People who work for the program handle things like mail and driver’s licenses for enrolled victims.
